Works great, when it works

I loved this microwave and everybody thought it was awesome. Only wish it had a kitchen timer feature! It's nice and powerful and big enough for my large dinner plates. Trouble is that is completely stopped working 6 months after we bought it. The display was shorting out and now it won't turn on at all. I am trying to decide whether to buy a new one because I loved it so much, but I'm not really in the mood to fork over another 60 bucks. Forget trying to get it repaired, you have to pay for shipping to send it in and have it returned to you--$15 each way. Plus all the hassle. For that I might as well just get a new one. ARGH!

Died and revived

This was a pretty good microwave. The functions were just what I wanted. Unfortuantely it broke after a year of use. It won't even power up. So we bought a new GE one because we can't live with a microwave and we couldn't open up the Emmerson one for a look.

A month later, I got a secuirty torx driver bit and opened the sucker up and found that it was only a burned fuse. Replaced it for less than a buck and it's working fine again. Except, we decided to wear out our new one first. The functions on this Emmerson were more convient that our new one...

Target - $59.99! So far, so good!

I posted my aggravation with my last microwave oven - Apollo AAC34B Half-Time Microwave Convection Oven. Good luck finding Customer Service - all 4 numbers have been disconnected, but that's posted under that oven; let's move on to this oven. It was $59.99 at Target last night, April 23, 2009 and fell in love with the color and for $60 what the heck? I paid $150 for my other oven and it lasted 6 months and I'm beginning to think all microwave ovens these days last 6 months. Sharp and Kenmore made some good microwaves in the day; especially the Convection Microwave Ovens with the ability to dehydrate foods; gosh, I miss that darn thing! I'm not big on white ovens, but I am big on stainless steel interiors and this oven isn't. It may be fair, it may be unfair to rate this oven a 3; though it is the average. I'll come back in 6 months and give this oven its true rating if it is still alive. Love the red and how it fits with our decor in our kitchen. Pretty sad; buy an oven for the color, but 60 bucks... for a 900 watt oven; time will tell!

Very Nice Microwave

I purchased this microwave for myself and will probably get one for my mother. It's much more powerful and sturdy then my previous microwave. To the user that said there was no time-cook. There is, you press the power button and then enter the time you wish then press start. It's easy to use if you don't understand something RTFM.

A Terrific Mid-sized Microwave

I wanted a red microwave to compliment the décor of my kitchen. The microwave I ordered Emerson .9 cu. ft. Microwave - Stainless Steel/ Red arrived in the expected time frame. I was quite surprised with the microwave when I opened the box. It looked as I expected but its features were much more than I expected. The choices of how this cooks are amazing. I read other reviews on this and would like to say that the features others have said were not on this model are on this; they just need to read the instructions. I live alone so I use the microwave frequently instead of ordering out. I can do everything in this. I would recommend this to anyone who cooks for himself or herself only, or cooks as a couple.

Love this microwave!

I love this little red machine. It works great and is so cute. I love red. It cooks everything perfect.
I was concerned because the cost was so low, but it works like a charm.
